Motel One, Market St., Edinburgh

The 208 bed hotel links five separate buildings to capitalise on the historical character of the site with captivating views across the city’s Princes Street Gardens.

The project was complex – amalgamating five separate buildings that are spread over many different levels – both storeys and gradients.

One of the main features was a spectacular glass bridge between two of the buildings and the introduction of a light well to allow natural light to make its way to each and every room. The interior design concept was based upon the Whiskeys of Scotland and Highland wallpapers throughout.
